Abstract Painting is more of articulating human feelings on a canvas than a representation of a living or a non-living object. We also call it non-objective art.
The effect of it is more of generic than specific. The visual illusion that it creates is believed to be its core competency.
The freedom to show an image without a valid reference makes it more interesting than the other forms of paintings.
It was towards the end of 19th century when artists started to let go the beaten track and were out to search something unique to express their art.
The approach towards a departure from the sense of reality became the USP of it.
